Balloon Penguin Tetra (2-4 cm)
The balloon penguin tetra is a selectively bred, compact variation of the classic penguin tetra (Thayeria boehlkei). It features a shorter, rounder "balloon" body, a signature heavy black stripe running down to its lower tail fin, and a unique nose-up swimming angle.
Care and Requirements.
Size: Grows up to about 2 to 4 cm (smaller than standard variants due to the shortened body shape).
Behavior: Peaceful, active, and schooling. Keep them in a group of at least 6 to 10 individuals to reduce stress.
