Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Because this is an air-driven filter, it requires an external aquarium air pump and airline tubing to operate.

Prep the Unit: Pull the sponges off and rinse them thoroughly under lukewarm tap water to clear any manufacturing dust. Do not use soap.

Add Your Media: Open the two clear plastic media cups. Fill them with your preferred biological media (like mini ceramic rings) and snap them back onto the unit.

Connect the Airline: Push your aquarium airline tubing through the hole at the top of the filter's telescopic pipe and firmly attach it to the interior air nipple.

Tip: Dipping the tip of your airline tubing in warm water makes it easier to slide on tightly.

Submerge and Squeeze: Stick the filter to the inside glass of your aquarium using the provided heavy-duty suction cups. Squeeze the sponges repeatedly under water to release trapped air pockets, otherwise, the filter will try to float.
