Tricolor Oranda Goldfish

The tricolor oranda is a popular fancy goldfish variety recognized by its vibrant combination of red, white, and black patches and a fleshy head growth called a "wen". These peaceful freshwater fish typically grow 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 inches) long and require strong filtration due to high waste production.

Appearance and Traits

Color Mix: Displays unique patterns of red, white, and black across the body and fins.

The Wen: Develops a prominent, raspberry-like hood or cap on top of the head as it matures.

Body Shape: Features a rounded, egg-shaped body with long, flowing twin tail fins.

Tank Care and Requirements

Tank Size: Needs at least 110–120 liters (30 gallons) of water per fish to accommodate their size and waste.

Water Quality: Maintain temperatures between 18–24°C (65–75°F) and a stable pH level of 6.5 to 8.0.

Diet: Omnivorous; feed high-quality sinking pellets, gel foods, and vegetable matter to prevent digestive issues.
