 Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

Follow these instructions for the best setup results:

Do Not Rinse: Pour the dry soil straight from the bag into your empty aquarium. Washing it will break down the granules and turn it into mud.

Slope the Substrate: Bank the soil higher in the back of the tank to create visual depth.

Fill Carefully: Place a plastic bag or plate over the soil. Pour water very slowly onto it so you do not disturb the substrate layer.

Skim Debris: Use a small fish net to scoop up any floating wood or organic plant fragments.

Clear the Cloudiness: The water may look cloudy for the first 24 hours. Run a filter packed with fine filter floss to clear it up quickly.
