Panda Corydoras (Corydoras Panda) 4cm

The Panda Corydoras (Corydoras panda) is a peaceful, small freshwater bottom-dweller that grows to a maximum adult size of about 4 to 5 cm (1.5 to 2 inches). Named for the black patches around their eyes resembling a panda, they are popular community fish.

Ideal Tank Conditions

Group size: Keep in shoals of 5 to 6 or more to reduce stress.

Tank size: Minimum 40 to 60 liters (10–15 gallons).

Water temperature: 21°C to 25°C (70°F–77°F).

Water chemistry: pH 6.0 to 7.5; soft to medium hardness.

Substrate: Fine, soft sand is mandatory to protect their sensitive barbels from injury and infection.

Care and Diet

Behavior: Active, gentle, and social bottom-forager.

Diet: Omnivorous; accepts sinking pellets, sinking wafers, frozen bloodworms, and brine shrimp.

Compatibility: Excellent for peaceful community aquariums with small tetras, rasboras, or shrimp.
