The Albino Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus sp.) is a peaceful, hardy freshwater catfish growing to 4–5 inches. It features a pale yellow to white body, pinkish-red eyes, and fleshy tentacle-like bristles on the snout that are more prominent in males. They are excellent, peaceful algae eaters for community aquariums.

Water Temperature: 72°F to 78°F (22°C to 26°C)

pH Level: 6.5 to 7.5

Habitat: Include driftwood (essential for their digestion), caves, and smooth rocks. They prefer well-aerated water with moderate flow.

Diet & Feeding

Primary Diet: Algae, sinking algae wafers, and spirulina.

Vegetable Supplements: Blanched zucchini, spinach, or cucumber.

Protein: Occasional sinking carnivorous pellets or frozen bloodworms.
