The Red Root Floater (Phyllanthus fluitans) is a popular, fast-growing floating freshwater plant from South America. It features round green-to-red leaves and striking, vivid red roots that provide excellent cover for aquarium fish and shrimp.

Ideal Water and Tank Conditions

Temperature: 70°F to 82°F (21°C to 28°C)Water pH: 6.0 to 7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral)

Water Flow: Low surface agitation; heavy flow or splashing can submerge and rot the leaves.

Lighting: Medium to high light is required to bring out the intense red coloration in the leaves and roots.
