The yellow parrot fish (commonly known as the Yellow Blood Parrot Cichlid) is a popular man-made hybrid freshwater fish created by crossbreeding cichlid species like the Midas cichlid (Amphilophus citrinellus) and redhead cichlid (Paraneetroplus synspilus). They grow to 6–8 inches (15–20 cm), live up to 10–15 years, and thrive in water temperatures of 24–28°C.
